Internship Program

At Wholesome Healing, we are deeply committed to training the next generation of compassionate, skilled, and evidence-based clinicians. Our Internship Program offers graduate students a supportive learning environment rooted in our core values of evidence-based care, connection, growth, and healing for our clients.

Our University Partnerships
We are proud to partner with the following graduate programs:
Loyola University Maryland – Graduate Program in Counseling
University of Maryland School of Social Work – Graduate Program in Social Work
Through these partnerships, we provide students with a high-quality clinical training experience that integrates theory, practice, and intentional supervision.
Training & Clinical Experience
Interns at Wholesome Healing receive rigorous and comprehensive training in the Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) model, an evidence-based, developmentally responsive approach that honors the therapeutic relationship as the primary agent of change.
Interns are fully supported through:
Weekly individual supervision with experienced, highly credentialed supervisors
Bi-weekly team case-consultation
Monthly group supervision
Ongoing individual case consultation
Collaborative learning within our clinical team
This structure allows interns to deepen their clinical skills, strengthen their therapeutic presence, and grow in confidence while providing thoughtful, high quality care to children and families.
Our Supervision Philosophy
We view supervision as a relational and reflective process. Interns are encouraged to explore clinical work with curiosity, authenticity, and support. Our supervisors emphasize strengths-based feedback, ethical practice, and the integration of self-awareness into clinical work.
Interns are not expected to have it all figured out — they are expected to show up, learn, and grow within a nurturing professional community.
Internship Fees
After the intake ($250), all services with interns are offered at a reduced fee of $100
