Counseling Services
Therapy services are an investment in your child. Quality care using an evidence-based approach can result in significant and lasting changes, changes that can change the way your child sees themselves and improve their relationships – for the rest of their lives. There is nothing more worth investing in.

Fees and Insurance
Wholesome Healing and all our providers are "out of network", meaning we do not participate with any insurance plans. Our number one value as a practice is providing the highest quality, individualized care - so that each child and family gets exactly what THEY need. We do not participate with any insurance networks because we feel strongly that third parties should not dictate the nature and duration of the therapy that we provide.

All payment is required at the time of service. Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted.

Superbills are provided on the 1st of every month. Clients can submit these to their insurance provider to request out-of-network reimbursement.

Most clients we work with get some type of reimbursement from their insurance, but it will depend on your plan.
It is helpful to call your insurance prior to beginning sessions to ask what reimbursement they provide when you see an out of network provider.
Many families we work with also use Health Savings Plans or Flexible Spending Plans to pay for sessions.

Service Descriptions:

Initial Intake Evaluation: $250
The initial child intake is for parents only and involves an in-depth exploration of the child's developmental history, presenting challenges, and family dynamics. Therapists will explore with parents the many factors that can impact a child's functioning and discuss the approach(es) that will be used in assessing and treating their child.
Intakes for children 10 and under are parents only.
Initial Intakes for older children (11-12) may include the child and parents.
Initial Intakes with teens (13+) will include the child and parents.

Play Therapy
All play therapy sessions (30-45 minutes): $175
The length of play therapy sessions is based on the child's developmental age and needs - and typically will be either 30 or 45 minutes.
At Wholesome Healing we practice Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), an evidence-based, developmentally responsive, and play-based mental health intervention for young children ages 3 to 10 who are experiencing social, emotional, behavioral and relational disorders.
All of our providers are specialists in play therapy, and specifically in the CCPT model. Every provider at the practice either has, or is working towards, their specialty credential as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and / or Child-Centered Play Therapist (CCPT).

Individual and Family Psychotherapy
Standard Psychotherapy Sessions (38 - 52 minutes): $175
The standard therapeutic hour for pre-teen, teen and adult sessions is typically 45 - 50 minutes. At Wholesome Healing we specialize in expressive arts therapies and utilize a variety of expressive arts modalities in working with pre-teens, teens, and even adults. Therapy utilizing art, sand tray, movement, and sensory-based experiences promotes whole-brain reparation and integration. Unlike verbal therapy which relies mostly on left-brain function, engaging in any arts-based activity uses many parts of the brain. This allows for deeper work and more significant and long-lasting improvements in social, emotional, behavioral, and relational functioning.

Extended Psychotherapy Sessions (53 - 60 minutes): $220

Parent Consultations
Parent consultations are billed according to time scheduled (see standard and extended psychotherapy session rates above).
All of our providers work very closely with parents to communicate how their child is doing in therapy, and to discuss ways to support their child's growth and progress at home. We deeply believe in parents as the experts on their child(ren) and embrace a collaborative approach in working with children and their families. We pride ourselves on the quality and dependability of our communication and make meeting with parents a regular part of the child's therapeutic process.

Family Sessions (53-90 minutes) range between $220 and $250
Family therapy focuses on the roles and dynamics within a family and on improvement in relationships among family members. Family therapy can include any combination of family members. The goal is to help family members understand each other, support each other, and work through difficult situations.
We often find that with family therapy, negative beliefs, patterns and feedback loops can be changed, resulting in more positive beliefs and experiences, and creating deep relief and lasting change within the family system. We tailor family therapy to meet each family's needs and utilize a variety of expressive arts modalities in family work.

Theraplay
Theraplay sessions: $220
Theraplay is a therapist-led play therapy that uses interactive activities to improve the connection between children and their parents. The goal of Theraplay is to increase trust, self-esteem, and attachment, and to create a joyful experience. Theraplay sessions are based on the natural interactions that occur between parents and children, and they often involve physical activities that stimulate the senses.
Typically, this approach is used in treatment with children up to age 12. However, Theraplay techniques may be combined with other modalities and can be adapted for use with teenagers and adults seeking therapy for these same concerns.

Phone Calls:
$55 for calls under 25 minutes; $110 for calls between 25 and 38 minutes
*Note: If a longer call is needed - a session will need to be scheduled*

No show or Late Cancellation: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours and no shows are charged the full session fee
