Mary Beth received her master’s degree in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2010. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland and a board approved clinical supervisor. She is a Registered Play Therapist and belongs to the Association of Play Therapy (APT).


Mary Beth has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families in community mental health clinics, schools, and private practice settings. She currently works with children and their families to address issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, peer challenges, life transitions, and traumatic experiences. She has training in and utilizes child-centered play therapy, filial therapy, sand tray, expressive arts, theraplay, sensory modulation, internal family systems, and other attachment-focused methods.


Mary Beth is passionate about creating a safe space for children to release their feelings and learn new strategies for coping with challenging life experiences. She also specializes in guiding parents towards new frameworks and approaches to support their children’s emotional development and nervous system regulation at home.


Mary Beth knows every kid is doing their best, and she loves providing a calm and comforting place for them to express themselves.
